notified that is the very latest that we have learned. the third victim with a 28 year-old man. at this point, did not know of all the shootings are somehow connected. but because they happen so quickly in such a short span of time, no doubt they have to look into the possibility that perhaps it was retaliatory. perhaps it was gang-related. stick with me in a few minutes we'll have a live interview with the spokeswoman about the very latest on this investigation we will be right back. >> think you very much for that update. >> 6:02 a.m., one man is dead after an officer involved shooting last night and part. inhabit the bart civic center station bart police responded to reports of a drunk man near the train platform at 9:45 p.m.. when they got there he was carrying a knife, they ended up shooting him in killing him. now there is an investigation, the sfpd is performing a criminal investigation and bart is doing an investigation into

6:06am
maybe one aside blocking lanes of freeway. not even with that, the chp has said it will not lift the restriction for big rigs on i-580 because they do not expect even with the lanes blocked that there will be a major delay on the nimitz north bound. again, the traffic loads are so like, and the details are little sketchy. if we do not know how many lanes are blocked, but the first report indicates that some lanes will be blocked what the big rig reported on its side on the nimitz freeway north bound through downtown oakland. presently you can see with green showing on the road centers, there is no back up. from here will get a quick bridge to check up, expect a like condition that the bay bridge. that is exactly what we have, for the san mateo bridge is problem free. this almost like the east bound direction in fact in a little lighter than on a normal day. your ride to the golden gate bridge only three lanes are available in the southbound direction. they're holding three on the northbound side in order to
6:07am

>> seven people were shot last night we have been following the story, what are we learning about the shootings been connected. >> that is one possibility they're looking into, we just kept out of the police department we have a lieutenant with people is a partner with the very
6:11am
latest, she is armed with a new book to tell us if you think the four shootings are somehow related kampf is the suspects knew the victims at all? >> that is all being investigated at this time, the two homicides that we are investigating here, you're looking for anyone with any information to come forward, any person, any witnesses anyone with any information to come forward at this time. >> we were looking into three murderers could you just now said for. >> correct, >> was there an argument or something may be some gang activity, rumors that may have led to this? and >> now that we know of we do not have any indications that there are any type of argument or anything that happened prior to the shootings happened in our area. >> close range means on foot shootings or drive-by? >> that i do not know.
6:12am
>> do we know the names of the victims? >> yes, the victim and a 32 on the block is 19 year-old rashad bailey, and the victim in the first homicide id's donald duncan 26 years old. >> your surprise because it recently was very peaceful in richmond. >> right we have not seen this level of pilots with the homicides in one night with the additional shooting for quite some time. >> is it hard to get witnesses to come forward, do you expect them to give you everything that they know or sometimes it can be very hard? >> it can be, anyone that was in the real work and try to get any information that we can, we have had a really good relationship with our community enrichment. i think the relationships that we are building helped to, help us to get some of that information in times like this one really needed. >> thank you so much that
6:13am
is muchbisa french with the--that is lt. bisa french with the police department this to the police by surprise, that is why this is still a developing story she continues to walk in and out of the police department hopefully more information will, for now we will send back to you. >> the time is 6:13 a.m. and will be back with more in a couple of minutes. at sizzler.

>> the show is about 9:15 p.m., and the best places for you to watch you bleed. 39 and at the acquired park. >> it will be warm day to day for those that have outdoor plans, san jose is one of the list of the warmest places around the bay. that is where craig is standing by this morning. >> that looked refreshened. --that looks refreshing. it is pretty cool outside right now, but it will be hot later in the day. kids will be running around in the pillars of water, i will show you a picture of what that looks like the kids in the hot summers past have been doing that very same thing this is a very popular place for kids to go. as
6:18am
parents looking on sometimes running in their themselves. it may not be quite as hot but it is the fourth of july expect a lot of people to be out here. every city seems to have a fountain that paul--that they all go to to run run play this to the one here. i sampled it, i put my hand and the water, critical, definitely i would recommend it. >> i was about the says this and this afternoon made it's nice and toasty. we will fine, and it will did thank you. >> let us get to it, we have all the details and i know about today during the daytime stuff and tomorrow about the fireworks. >> no shortage of fireworks, downtown san francisco's already been the sunshine and it will eat us up once again. it looks like as we head towards the afternoon will come down just slightly in the numbers, not seeing just as much in trouble digits in the inland locations.
6:19am
shalala released there, a little more cooling around the bay. we are getting westerly flow, that could provide a little patchy fog around the bay for fireworks. temperatures around the '50s were sent to cisco, 61 for san raphael. fairfield is about 10 degrees warmer than that. in the top is down into the low 60s. by noon, it looked as though we could warm up into the 80's, bring the '90s into the picture as we head towards the free o'clock/4:00 hour. we will have in the 90's and 80's in the seventies around the bay. by tonight most locations will be in the sixties will we could hold to los '70s inland. we have 92 in santa rosa, 96 of petaluma, about 97 for fairfield. in the peninsula, it looks as though we will be about 76 in san for cisco. yesterday in the
6:20am
80's, not quite as warm but still pretty pleasant. 90s and redwood city, over to the survey looks as though we will stay about 751 into a comfortable 80 degrees and about 86 for castro valley. it will still stay high as we enter the san ramon valley to retire in the mid- 90s. 97 in antioch, and the south bay could move up to 90 is as well. here is a seven day around the base showing us mostly cloudy conditions by wednesday. that is where all changes and we start to see the cooling trend, much cooler by next weekend. >> it is good news is bad news for our accident on the nimitz freeway. >> the only reason i am not calling this a hot spot is because it is not having any impact on traffic, that is the good news even with two lanes blocked north bound there is no problem in terms of the traffic flow heading into downtown oakland on the nimitz freeway. it turns out
6:21am
that this is not a big grin on its side, but an suv. that is also good news because that means it will be easier to clear up. the bad news is that it is the two right lanes that are blocked on the freeway. as you can see, at 70 impact so far on the southboundor the northbound side of interstate 80. that is like it or not allow them to use the big rigs even though two lanes are blocked on the right inside. he conceived the traffic moving with the green showing all the east bay freeways. caught looking at the bridges around the bay area, the bay bridge has no backup, and of the lake. no metering lights, do not expect them this afternoon or this evening. for your ride to the san mateo bridge, unusually light as you can see no delays in either direction. your golden gate bridge ride should be a pretty picture and indeed it is with no problems north bound, or south bound. expect to see fairly highly travelled in
6:22am
the northbound direction later this morning. let us go to the news room justine. >> this story might make you hungry because it is time once again for the annual nathan's hot dog eating contest on coney island. prd have been set up and ready to go for the food fest. if he did not know, this is where contestants try to eat as many hot dog as possible. this guard down thousands of calories in the world champion in san jose native is joey chesnutt his record is 68 hot dogs and buns he will be there this year. but his arrival will not be there. he is holding his own unofficial contest somewhere else in york. so, we will be watching to see how many hot dogs and joy chesnutt east. you have any guesses? >> i think he will break it, it was 67 i vicki will go 70. >> up a record he has a 68.
6:23am
so i will go one up and say 61--71. >> of all right thank you. now we will go outside and give you a quick look from the roof camera this morning we have it for shot over sentences, a lot of sunshine, plenty of blue sky. all in all ia perfect for the july forecast in the ma yñsñkékékióç]s]s

>> we are expecting a lot of sunshine, a little breezy temperatures look like they was there around 69 degrees right at the start of the game. about the 4:00 hour looks like we'll work our way up into the '70s. no 80's, we're pulling down
6:31am
slightly today but will be a pleasant forecast. i'll have all the details on what you can expect for the fireworks displays coming up later today. it >> traffic so light on the nimitz freeway even with an overturned accident blocking two lanes of the nimitz and north bound, there is no delay to the north bound commute or to the south bound ride if your heading to the oakland airport. >> think you so much, the timeout is 6:31 a.m.. we're following a developing story out of richmond. as many as seven people were shot in four different shootings that happened here over night. let us assume in, i want to walk through the first one, it happened in the 3900 block of ohio. one person was shot, then another shooting at ruby and second. that is where there was a second shooting, and there was a third one, let me take you to that location around 11:00 p.m. in the 3200 block of center. a man was shot while sitting in a car, another person may have
6:32am
been injured in that shooting. let me take you over to the fourth shooting that happen that is where one person was killed and another person was injured at mcdonald and first street. will joins us now he is in richmond. he has the very latest over at the police department. and >> on i have the names of the least two of the fatalities. notice there were three fatalities and not 4. the police department seem to have jumped the gun, but it appears that the fourth victim is alive at this moment although he seems to be in critical condition. three fatalities overnight the one is fighting for his life. i have the name of the mcdonnell shooting, his name is carol duncan a 26 year- old man,--daryl duncan. he is expected to survive, and at the center, it is a donald bailey who died from the shooting. the police
6:33am
department says there is no indication that the shootings would happen is seem to have been very quiet for a long time with their intelligence, this to them by surprise as well. i got a chance to ask her if she believes are the lead up to perhaps an argument or alcohol played a role in this, but at this time it does not appear so. it is still early on and hopefully they will have some witnesses that ford in this case, or even the survivors will tell them exactly what happened but at this time no arrests have been made. no description of the suspects in all four cases, all of the seven shootings, they do not know. at this time that is why the investigators are still working. while i was talking to her, her phone kept ringing. and then there's the third fatality and that is why she is having a hard time trying to figure out with, costa county the information on that. i will have
6:34am
information coming up at 7:00 a.m.. back to you. >> thanks a lot. now let us get on to the weather, we have looked like a wonderful forecast for today good morning. >> good morning, we will start off with the fireworks forecast that is what everyone wants to know about today, it is as old as we head towards the 9:30 p.m. our clear skies in most locations. we have a little bit of an onshore flow, we can have some catching coastal fog around the media bay. santa cisco 58 degrees, berkeley about 63. mountain view upper 60s and the same for san rosa as well. here is a look at the afternoon hike, will warm to 92 degrees today. 97 degrees today in fairfield. the in in spots coming down we had trouble digits yesterday. on the peninsula we were in 80's, yesterday, will be an about '70s. through berkeley and now let me it
6:35am
looks as though the temperatures will stay in the '70s and '80s. --through berkeley in lme it looks like the temperatures will stay in the '70s and '80s. no doubt in the south bay, temperatures or --will range anywhere from 84 to 90 degrees. and the next couple days will stay high. by wednesday that is where we shake things up. we will notice the clouds rolling into the picture. mostly cloudy conditions on wednesday. temperatures just start to ease up a little bit. we will continue with the cooling trend through the end of the week and into the weekend. we are talking about the pattern fog settling in to beat morning hours. cooler to sustain in the low 80s inland. upper 60s and low '70s around the bay. the time right now is 6:36 a.m. let us get a check at the morning commute with
6:36am
george. >> quite remarkable any other weekday, this would be a major hot spots even at this hour. and suv was involved in an accident with most likely a big rig in the up on inside blocking the to right-hand lanes. it is, there is no impact on the traffic as weeds soon in,-- as we zoom in, you are looking at 66 and about 65 right after. it will not create any delays. no need for an alternate route. no need to at any time to your drive if you're heading for the airport, when the southbound side you have zero impact for your commute. use the word commute the that is not the case today. we will not see much in the way of a commute. those that are working this morning will have very few cars to assure the road with at the bay bridge toll plaza. no metering lights later in the
6:37am
day we are likely to see heavier traffic here. and your ride to the san mateo bridge, look at this is a wasteland out there, you could shoot a cannon down the road i did not know why you would want to because you sure would not get anything. your ride through the golden gate bridge, expect to see an extra third lane in the northbound direction. there are only three lanes available on the southbound side, that is more than enough to accommodate the flow coming into san francisco. >> i want to get back to the breaking news story this morning the two alarm fire in the mission district, we want to touch base again with our solo reporter live on the scene. it looks a lot less smoky right now in the last time we checked. >> a lot less a smoky, it looks like the firefighters are getting the upper hand on this fire. originally what i thought was a single structure fire then turns out to the three units. you can see that when they're covered in black, that is one that started the fire. the third unit, you see the
6:38am
firefighters are still out here taking apparatus into the building. i can see one of the firefighters coming out with what appears to be an animal right now. i also say they're working on another animal right over here. i know that at least one person was transported to a local hospital. you can see the amount of flames that were coming out of these units. now more than 10, or 15 minutes ago. firefighters resenting the upper floors of the unit. at that point--firefighters venting the upper floors of the unit. how this happen a little balls for 6:00 a.m. on the fourth of july. we are told that mostly everyone out one person was transported to a local hospital with what is being called a minor injuries. now as you can see the animal
6:39am
that came out, it looks as though they're going to give him some oxygen at this point. they want to make sure that everything, and everyone got out of the units. obviously the firefighters are going in to take the animals outside of the burning apartment buildings at this point. they're giving them oxygen, it looks as though he is moving around that is a good sign. this is a developing story as we get more details about the fire will pass that along. it looks like the firefighters and tmz personnel are trying to give the dog got oxygen right now. >> the good part is that they got the animal out safely. we had firefighters with the backboards and laid on the street. as far as you know, only one person injured so hopefully they will not need the backboards? >> and obviously that is more precautionary at this point, firefighters are still inside. as i said before, it looked like it is as a precautionary measure
6:40am
at this point but obviously they want to be prepared for any type of situation that might arise. >> very good jackie, we have jackie on the scene, will get updates from him as the story continues develop. will take a quick break and be back in just a minute.

6:49am
of july everywhere else clear conditions. now we are starting off mostly clear and mile this morning and through the afternoon a lot of sunshine a little cooler as we head into the afternoon not as much in the way of triple digits overnight currently cloudy conditions a little breezy as well. by noon, the orange indicates 80's. what's that fill in as we head about 3:00 or 4:00. now not as much in the way of triple digits the looks as though the triple digits will be contained to the central valley. by 9:00 p.m. during the fire were to ride around the bay looks as though we will stay in the '60s, '70s and some of the inland locations. afternoon highs will warm into the '90s again. for san francisco, yesterday we had 80. we will come that a little from that warming to about 76 and

6:51am
have six seats for the north bound ride, the good news is that the lanes are reopened. had eller was issued but it was already canceled once the lanes were open. like traffic all we around you see the bay bridge is lightly traveled this morning do not expect to see the metering lights activated this morning. san mateo bridge design have meter lights or much in the way of traffic either. three lanes available south bound on the golden gate only to in the northbound direction expect the extra lane to be added. probably between the 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. hours. we are likely to see more traffic heading north then we are to see heading south out of iran into santa's go. now here's the latest from justine. >> we are getting live pictures into kron4 news of prince william and catherine of the duchess of cambridge. they are in canada you can see the last shot, you can
